The Academy for Peace Education (APE) founded in 2011, is dedicated to promote peace scholarship and activism and community organizing in schools, colleges, and universities. APE provides four levels of workshops: (1) mini-workshops that are 3 hours long, (2) day-long workshops that are 8 hours long, (3) weekend long workshop that is 20 hours long – 4 hours on Friday, 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday, (4) and week long workshop that is 5 days long and 8 hours each day, totally 40 hours. The workshops educate others on strategics and tactics of social justice including how to organize a protest, speak to the media, and building a campaign.
